Kilbil was founded in 1999. In its 22 years of existence, it has provided shelter to over 250 children and found home for 232. That includes 23 challenged children also. We offer shelter to orphan children from 0-6 years of age. We give shelter to all children, no matter how sick or handicapped they may be. We also offer comprehensive services like adoption guidance and counselling centre and child counselling service.
In our society, maternity out of wedlock is a cardinal sin. The sin is always committed by two. Unfortunately only the woman gets punished. Since the mythical days of Kunti and Shakuntala, the problem of unwed mother has haunted our society. Young unmarried girls who find themselves in this precarious situation face intense social and family pressure and social stigma. We help these girls find a suitable shelter and also help them surrender their child with dignity and confidentiality.
