Mahila Vikas Mandal, Chandrapur (which runs Kilbil Home for Destitute Children) was established in 1977. Since then, it has been active in the field of women's and children's welfare. It is registered under Societies Registration Act (registration number 334/77) and under Public Trust Act (registration number F/364/78). It was also instrumental in founding 2 more institutions- Mahila Vikas Industrial Cooperative Society and Mahila Vikas Credit Society. Both are doing sterling work to promote female entrepreneurship.
Kilbil Home for Destitute Children was established in 1999. It is the first and still the only recognized shelter in Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts for 0-6 years age group children. Kilbil is recognized under Orphanages and Other Charitable Institutions (supervision and control) Act. It is also recognized as Juvenile Home under Juvenile Justice (care and protection of children) Act. (Registration number 1015/2013).
We provide shelter to all children from newborn to 6 years. We provide them loving and affectionate care. We take care of their physical and psychological nurturing. In the unfortunate event of medical problems, we provide them the best possible healthcare including major surgery, critical care and even terminal palliative care. We gratefully acknowledge the support of the medical fraternity of Chandrapur. They always respond to our requests with unfailing generosity and commitment.
